Verlon Thompson |
Center for Well Being |

Kinda odd show where Verlon kind of described his life in words and song. Fortunately, he play a bunch of my favorite tunes. No PA system was used, truly acoustic |

The Stray Birds |
Lincoln Theater |

Todd Grebe & Cold Country |
Pour House |
IBMA Ramble |

Tried to do straight country. Was only mediocre. This band was a country reincarnation of Bearfoot. Just different front of the band and country music. I wouldn't pay to see this band. |
Johnny Staats & the Delivery Boys |
Pour House |
IBMA Ramble |
Raleigh, NC |
2013/09/24 |
These guys were fabulous. Johnny is one of the best mando players today. My wife thinks he is the fasted (and cleanest) mandolin player in Americana Music. The band was really great too! Can't wait to see them again. |

Pheobe Hunt |
Pour House |
IBMA Ramble |

2013/09/24 |
I really liked Pheobe with Belleville Outfit. She can swing. Her solo show was a bit more complicated and tended towards a showtunes sort of style. I did like a tune she picked on the violin and sang. |

Nice show. I have seen them better. They showcased newer vocal material that was not of the same level as their instrumental stuff. They were still good. Falko should not sing. |
Carolina Chocolate Drops |
Allegany County Fairgrounds |

Yonder Mountain String Band |
Allegany County Fairgrounds |
Delfest |
Cumberland, MD |
2013/05/26 |
The first 2/3 of the set was only okay. Too much vocal material and too little Jeff Austin. The final third was great with some fine jamming including Ronnie McCoury and Jason Carter sitting in. |
Missy Raines & the New Hip |
Allegany County Fairgrounds |
Delfest |

Old Crow Medicine Show |
Allegany County Fairgrounds |
Delfest |
Cumberland, MD |
2013/05/25 |
Saw most of this set from further back than normal. Very slick as always. Ketch was smooth and perhaps loaded. They have learned how to put on quite a show. Did you ever notice that half of their stuff is about alcohol and drug use? |
Danny Barnes |
Allegany County Fairgrounds |
Delfest |
Cumberland, MD |
2013/05/24 |
Barnyard Electronics show. Looping. Long hair and a mad scientist. Mostly he is a genius. The looping I can do without. |

Trampled by Turtles |
Allegany County Fairgrounds |
Delfest |
Cumberland, MD |
2013/05/24 |
Bombastic and loud. The tunes were fine I think. It seemed like overall speed was their substitute for technical excellence/ability. Hard to listen to for a long time. I had to eventually leave for another event. |
Trey Anistacio Band |
Allegany County Fairgrounds |
Delfest |
Cumberland, MD |
2013/05/24 |
Interesting long show. Trey is a fine guitarist and singer. His music was good mostly. But the overall jamming arrangements were somewhat repetitive. Playing Charlie Daniel's 'Devil Went Down to Georgia' was too much. I wouldn't play to see this |
Jerry Douglas Band |
